Record a payment

After a rent is created in the Finance section, you can record multiple payments, for instance, if the rent is paid in chunks over a period of time. In order to do this click on the Record a payment action on the right. Please pay attention to the payment date, as later it will determine to which period the item is allocated in the Balance section. E.g. December 2017 rent entered as paid in January 2018 will be allocated to 2018 and not 2017. If the sum of the amounts is greater than the rent due, then the tenant will Lue lisää

Managing loans or mortgages

Create a loan or mortgage To add one you need to create a recurring expense from the Finance section or import a schedule payment file. Change or stop a loan To change the monthly loan payment, find and modify the last payment. This change will be effect for all future payments, but does not apply retrospectively. Payments that have been already generated must be manually modified one by one if you need to change them. To stop a loan, find and modify the last payment, click on the actions on the right, Stop. How to modify a recurrent payment

If you need to modify a recurrent payment, identify the last payment generated in Finance, edit it and Save. This change will apply to all future payments, however all the past payment already generated will have to be edit manually one by one.

Loans and Mortgages Interests

Automatic deduction Interests on Mortgages are automatically deducted in the Balance section. Manual deduction You can also deduct the interests manually. To do so, add them as a New expense in Finances. This way they will appear in the Balance section.

Adding expenses

To add an expense, click the button in Finance or directly in the Dashboard , fill in the fields, and click the Save button. To successfully record an expense you need to provide at least the following information: Property Type Date Beneficiary Amount In addition to this information, you can also enter: Tenancy Recurrence (is it a one-off or a recurring one?)
